Introduction
Introduction:
The faculty of nursing established with in the faculty of medicine and health science in 1990, it was included in wadi Alnil university then it became one of the authorities of medicine and health science of shandi university in march 1994, eventually it became the faculty of high nursing on 29 sept.2010. The building of the faculty is situated in the faculty of medicine and health science complex in Shandi.

Skills lab:
Nursing profession based on skilled performance depending on scientific principle, basis of nursing and other science.
From this point we consider the lab in order to graduate student of required skills and competency including for specialization each has its own need.
Children lab:
-Containing different models and apparatuses including models of children care equipments.
Obstetrics and gynecology lab:
There are models of reproductive system, models of delivery, models of pelvis and placenta and model of baby growth
Internal medicine and surgical nursing lab:
There are models like learning models of different internal surgical nursing application care process in addition to some apparatus like ECG, electric shock apparatus and surgical tools.
Nursing Fundamentals lab:
Consists of equipments like blood pressure apparatus stethoscope, thermometers in addition to muscular, venous injection and venous outflow, full human model for different nursing skills.

Working for all medicine Complex as it contains system link with website in addition to CDs consists of different nursing application and modern issues of some references.
General library:
Joint library for medicine complex divided in away that facilitate reading quietly. It Consists most modern medicine and nursing book of different specializations. Each specialization has its own place as it contains numerous scientific journals.

Introduction:
Community health and psychiatry dept. is one of the four depts, of faculty of nursing. The dept. was established to have message, goals and philosophy from the vision, goals and philosophy of faculty of nursing.
The dept. presents some subjects to nursing bachelor students to qualify them as general nursing specialists.
The dept. teaches the following subjects:
- Nursing of community health.
- Nursing of neural and psycho diseases.
- Family nursing.

Carrying out annual scientific field tour within the River Nile state to provide services to an important sectors of the community, miscellaneous activities for citizens like treatment days, collective male circumcision scientific symposium Dawa programs.

Introduction:
This dept. teaches and trains students on basic Nursing science which furnish them with the required information on patient care, also aiming at acquainting students with essential principles for Entrying into nursing science, training, providing them with nursing skills to take care of Patients following scientific steps to provide nursing care.
The Dept. has numerous activities like:
- Effective participation in scientific symposiums, workshops, continuous education courses for students of other faculties and community events.

Internal surgical Nursing detp.
Introduction:
Internal surgical nursing dept. established in 2009 in comply with chancellor decision to pave the way to separate nursing faculty from Medicine and health science faculty that completed in 2010. This dept is one of the great dept. of the faculty regarding teaching staff number, syllabus. The student start to know nursing profession through this dept acquainting with nursing skills qualifying him to learn other nursing specializations.
The student studies several basic nursing syllabus.
During study Year in this dept, starting from nursing concepts and basics, then nursing health education, as well as knowing internal surgical nursing essence and the way to provide patient with nursing care as a real launching towards other specializations. The dept contains syllabus of critical care nursing and casualty care nursing as one of specializations of this dept.
The dept. teaches internal surgical nursing specialization up to master degree. The dept. graduated a number of master degree holders during the past year. It is still graduate batches of master degree holders.
The dept. has many activities like the followings:
First: the dept. Educational Activities:
- Laying down unified system for supervision and monitoring of clinical training at the university hospital.
- Reviewing updating of bachelor syllabus.
- Updating of scientific references lists.
- Participating in promotion of infrastructure of the faculty skill lab, In internal surgical nursing specialization.
- Participating in workshops hold in the university hospital and education development center.
- Applying OSCE system to evaluate students in the final Exam.
